Owens is a Midwestern girl who’s rambled all over the place. She has toured extensively in the U.S.---from smoke-filled Austin honky tonks, to Milwaukee punk rock clubs, and to California folk gatherings. She has shared the stage and opened for musicians, including national country and folks acts Junior Brown, Buddy Spicher, and the Nashville Cats (including the late Don Helms, pedal steel legend for Hank Williams Sr., Lorreta Lynn, Pasty Cline). She also has been billed with Tracy Grammer, Stella Parton, Jim Lauderdale, and Phil Lee.
Never afraid of hard work, Owens pays her dues in Nashville and on the road. That includes everything from rockabilly vintage car shows, touring with the world-famous Wall of Death trick motorcycle riders, to venues such as The Brink, Bluebird Café, Shank Hall, Stage Door, and Stage North. She was honored to be included in many music and songwriting festivals: Summerfest, Steel Bridge Songwriter Festival, and Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival. Owens music is multilingual with lyrics not only in English or with Irish lilt but also in Swedish, French, and Russian---depending on the story she is musically sharing with her intrigued and appreciative audiences.
Currently, Meaghan is touring, working with G4V (Guitars For Vets), writing, and spending time in Nashville, Milwaukee, and Madison where she is recording her second CD.
